The annual Sundance Film Festival and its stepchild Slamdance opened in Park City last night with a round of parties. The canyon was a parade of transportation service vehicles, Escalade taxis and blacked out Suburbans carrying early arrival stars and wannabes to their accommodations in town. As usual, the Red Bull Mini Cooper was on the road with its Red Bull girls supplying the unofficial drink of Sundance, but this year, the girls have a custom phone to support their promo efforts. When asked about the BlackBerry on the dashboard of her Mini, Kim said, "No! It's not a BlackBerry, it's a BullBerry!"

Looked like the silver Curve customized with Red Bull apps. GPS gets the girls to each location and an inventory app allows them to record precisely how many Red Bulls are handed out to attendees at each spot. We want to know: Will the BullBerry be part of the party schwag? We want one.

Couldn't make it to Sundance this year? You can still see the films thanks to Shorts International and iTunes. The Sundance Institute announced yesterday all 10 short films will be available as FREE downloads through iTunes stores in the US, UK and Canada, January 15 through January 25.
