HP Gets Touchy-Feely
HP is getting all "personal again", and this time it's adding their touch to your lap. We're still waiting to see if fingertip computing will really take off, but HP is confident that the technology will transfer well to your laptops (or netbook, mini-notebook, lapbook, bookbook, whatever you're calling them).
Ok, the whole touch screen idea might work for laptops. Sure, it hasn't done great in the past, but it might just take off with a little help from the token Hewlett Packard touch.
Here's a few reasons why touch screen laptops are a great idea:
- Glass trackpads are so two days ago
- We're getting tired of the mass of mice mods
- My stock in Windex is bound to go up
On a completely related note, HP has also hinted that they are working on a line of cell phones. While we are interested to see said installments, we can't imagine them getting nearly as much excitement as some touch phones we've seen in the past. But hey, Motorola's just joining the game too.
We've got reviews of smartphones (touchscreen and otherwise) and laptops as well as a few other blog posts that aren't touch sensitive, but you can still caress the screen if you like:
