Motorola's First Android Phone: Calgary Slider
It's nothing new for a manufacturer to announce they're working on an Android phone. So we're not terribly impressed with the news that Motorola has an Android Phone in the works. Motorola has teased us with so many phone announcements only to throw them out later that I'm not entirely confident this Motorola Android phone will ever appear. That's not to say I don't like it. It does look pretty impressive. At least, if it does end up looking like the renders. The resident "ninja" at Boy Genius Report leaked the rendered images of the Calgary Android phone Motorola is designing, and it looks pretty slick, if a little boxy. It's a slider phone with a QWERTY keyboard in the RAZR style.

It's no coincidence that the Calgary looks a little like the RAZR, either. Motorola desperately needs a success like they had with the RAZR because they've had failure after failure in the phone market lately. A well executed Android phone could go a long way towards fixing that problem for the company...
...if this thing ever sees the light of day.
