Another Kill Switch Discovered in the G1

Word on the street is that the Android G1, in the ultimate copycat move, decided to follow in the iPhone's steps and include the infamous kill switch.

We can only figure that Google saw how much traffic its site got from desperate iPhone users trying to find out if the kill switch was meant for the phone or the owner. Google must be trying to ride that hype (or "fear" as it is commonly known, but most people, including politicians, like to ride that "hype") and bring even more people to their site.



I guess Google is not content with being the No. 1 most visited site in the history of the known world. They have to go for all the glory and get everyone in the known universe to their site.

So all the "hype" is that Google has included a kill switch on its G1. However, the name is deceptive, the switch doesn't really kill anything. At least not by our definition of kill, which is to "deprive of life", "cause the death of" or "to slaughter". From what we understand the kill switch only gives Google the ability to remove applications you may have downloaded off your phone. That's a whole other can of worms that we won't even get into.
