Even though the BlackBerry Tour has stolen a lot of attention for having all the right stuff, there’s still significant interest in the BlackBerry Onyx. Granted, there isn’t a whole lot of suspense because the leaks have already told us almost everything you could know about it, but it looks like there has been a last minute change to the device.

The BlackBerry 9020, codenamed Onyx, has shown up in some leaked photos with a trackpad instead of the trackball we saw in the early reviews. The phone can benefit quite a lot from the optical trackpad, so this news will excite a lot of BlackBerry enthusiasts. Combine that with what looks like the perfect combination of other features and the Onyx could really be a bigger success than the Tour.
