HTC Touch Pro 2 and Touch Diamond 2 Get Price and Release Date
We were really impressed by the new phones at the HTC booth at CTIA earlier this month, partly because the phones were good and partly because few other companies brought anything new to show off. Either way, we're excited for HTC to release the Touch Pro 2 and the Touch Diamond 2. We won't have to wait too much longer either according to the latest news from HTC, although it looks like we'll need to take out a small loan.
HTC put out a press release detailing some of the cool features of these two phones, but we eagerly skipped to the end where they talked about prices and release dates. We became a little less eager when we discovered that the Touch Pro 2 would cost in the neighborhood of $887 and the Touch Diamond 2 would cost around $726. Obviously, that's just for the phones without a contract. Hopefully the US providers will heavily subsidize them with a contract so we don't have to pay nearly that much.
HTC also mentioned that the Touch Diamond 2 would come out sometime after mid May and the Touch Pro 2 at the end of June. We look forward to hearing a little more from providers (probably T-Mobile considering their affinity for HTC phones?) about contract prices before then.
