Huawei Announces U8230 Android Phone
It seems that Android dreams do come true. A couple months ago we heard that Huawei would be producing an Android phone in late 2009. We drooled over the sleek phone despite not getting to touch it or see it in action. But true to their word, Huawei made the official announcement today, unveiling the U8230 at the CommunicAsia convention.
The other half of the rumor was that the U8230 would be the G3 on T-Mobile. That part is still unconfirmed, as are the specs, unfortunately. It also appears that the design has changed a bit since we last saw it, but that isn't really a problem. It's still a touchscreen phone and it still looks great.
The only specs we know right now is that the screen is 3.5 inches and the battery is supposed to be the largest capacity "among Android-powered handsets currently available," at 1500mAH. That's not saying much because the G1 isn't known for spectacular battery life, but I'm sure the U8230 will be better.
