Last Minute Apple Rumor Confirmation: iPhone 3.0 Has Cut/Paste

We're expecting to find out about the iPhone 3.0 update tomorrow, but Kevin Rose has given some last minute details about what to expect in a meeting at SXSW. While it doesn't match up exactly with everything else we've been hearing, everyone will be happy to know he confirms cut and paste functionality for the new firmware. Video below.



Kevin Rose has a fairly solid record with Apple rumors, and we've heard the cut/paste rumor from other sources. However, some of the things he said about the upcoming update don't jive well with other rumors. For instance, Rose says not to expect video.

He also says that the iPhone 3.0 will bring things up to par with the Palm Pre, but then seems unsure about the multitasking. Seems like a crucial point to be unsure about if the iPhone is really going to be equal with the Pre.
