Nokia Opens the Ovi App Store Worldwide

Nokia finally opened up its new app store, the Ovi Store, to Nokia users worldwide. Previously, it was only open to a few test markets, but now, regardless of where you live, you can get apps for your Nokia phone.
The selection of apps is pretty impressive, although it doesn't have near the volume of the iPhone App Store. On the other hand, that might be an advantage considering how many useless apps are cluttering up iPhones right now.
While some apps are designed for specific Nokia phone models, we found a nice selection of apps that are supposed to work on "most Nokia phones," and many of them are free. So if you have a Web-enabled Nokia phone, head over to store.ovi.com and see what interests you.
