Sprint Gets a Special Version of the HTC Snap
The HTC Snap, one of our favorite products from CTIA 2009, has already been picked up by T-Mobile (as the 3G Dash), but now it looks as if Sprint might get the Snap as well. And the Sprint version will bring back Inner Circle and have a better battery too. Some leaked images of the Snap bearing the Sprint branding and sporting a bigger battery showed up on the PPCGeeks forum. The poster asserts that the Sprint version of the Snap will be $149 and have a 150 mAh battery as opposed to T-Mobile Dash's 800 mAh. The Sprint version will also have 192MB RAM and 256MB flash storage and sport a 528 Mhz Qualcomm processor. The most glaring omission, though, is the Wi-Fi; it appears the Sprint phone won't have it. Lame.
We're excited that this phone will still have HTC's Inner Circle offering, but the phone seems pretty different otherwise. Even the keyboard looks different and the trackball has been replaced by a D-pad.
