When Microsoft’s Windows Marketplace launches later in the year, it will do so with 600 apps certified and available from day one. Not quite as many as the iPhone app store, but certainly better than what was offered with the Pam Pre when it first became available.

If they really can have 600 apps available from day one, this bodes well for Microsoft. Of course we would be naïve to think that all 600 will be worth having, but there are bound to be a few that will be worth my hard earned cash I’m sure. And one never knows, you just might actually find something useful there too.
